How to sync lyrics to a song
In Genie Studio, right-click (or press and hold) the vocal track and choose Sync the lyric from this vocal (1 credit). The AI listens to the vocal, writes down every word with its timing and places the lyric on a Lyrics lane above the timeline, lined up with the audio. If the sync fails, nothing is charged. It works best on a vocal stem rather than a full mix.

Steps
Open the song
Open the song or upload audio you own or may use.
Get a clean vocal
If the vocal is mixed with music, split the song with Voice + Music (4 credits) so the AI hears the words clearly.
Sync the lyric
Right-click the vocal track (press and hold on touch screens) and choose Sync the lyric from this vocal · 1 cr. If a lyric is already on the timeline, you are asked before it is replaced.
Use the Lyrics lane
The words appear on the Lyrics lane at the moment they are sung, so you can find a line instantly, set a loop over it and record a new take or re-sing it.
What it is good for
- Finding a line in a long song
- Setting a loop to re-record one line
- Checking that a generated vocal sings the right words
- Rehearsing over a karaoke instrumental
What it does not do (yet)
The synced lyric lives in your Genie Studio project. There is no LRC or subtitle file export at the moment.
Common mistakes
- Syncing a full mix. Music under the voice lowers accuracy. Use a vocal stem.
- Expecting every word right. Check names, slang and repeated ad-libs on the lane.
