How to make an acapella or karaoke version
Open the song in Genie Studio, or upload audio you own or may use, and split it with Voice + Music (4 credits, Starter and above). You get two tracks: the vocals (your acapella) and everything else (your karaoke instrumental). Solo the one you need and export it as WAV or MP3, or download the stems from the song’s mixer. For a cleaner vocal, start from the highest-quality file you have.

Steps
Pick the song
Use a song from your Melody Genie library, or upload an MP3, WAV, M4A or FLAC up to 60 MB that you own or are allowed to use.
Split with Voice + Music
Choose Voice + Music (4 credits). The job keeps running if you leave the page, and the two parts open as tracks when it finishes.
Acapella: keep the vocals
Solo the vocal track to hear the voice alone. Export it, or download the vocal stem from the song’s stems mixer.
Karaoke: keep the music
Mute the vocal track and export the instrumental. Add the synced lyric from the vocal (1 credit) if you want the words on the timeline while you rehearse.
Clean up if needed
Trim silence, fade the edges, and add a little EQ or a gate to the acapella to reduce leftover music. Every edit is free; exports need Starter.
Two parts or more?
Voice + Music returns two parts, which is all you need for an acapella or a karaoke track. If you also want drums, bass and other instruments separately, use Full multitrack (20 credits).
Common mistakes
- Starting from a low-quality file. Compressed, re-uploaded audio gives more artifacts. Use the best source you have.
- Using songs you do not have rights to. Only separate audio you own or are allowed to use, and check the rights before you publish a remix.
- Expecting a studio-clean vocal. Reverb and backing vocals can stay in the vocal stem. Listen solo before release.
