Write your lyrics for Suno
Quick answer
Start with an idea and a writing profile, then build an original lyric you can edit line by line. Keep the words for your own Suno workflow, or continue to music generation inside Melody Genie. Writing the lyric and rendering audio are separate steps.
Choose writing direction
Select an artist-inspired Writing Style DNA profile or an eligible private Custom Lyricist. The profile guides vocabulary, rhyme and phrasing; you still choose the subject and approve the words.
Give the song a specific story
Name the situation, narrator and change of feeling you want. A concrete detail gives you something to develop and edit instead of another abstract song about love or success.
Keep control of the draft
Read the hook aloud, replace weak lines and check that each verse moves the story forward. Generation produces a draft, not a guarantee that every line is ready for release.
Choose where the audio is made
Copy your finished lyric into your own Suno account, or continue in Melody Genie with a supported music model. Lyric generation and music generation use separate credit charges shown before each action.
Frequently asked questions
Does this create lyrics or finished audio?
This entry point starts lyric writing. Melody Genie also generates complete songs, but making the audio is a separate action. You can stop at the editable lyric or continue to music when you are ready.
Do I need a Suno account to write here?
No. You write in a Melody Genie account. A separate Suno account is needed only if you choose to use the lyric on Suno itself; the two accounts and their credits are not shared.
Can I use a different style for the music?
Yes. Writing Style DNA guides the lyric; Music Style DNA guides the production direction. Keep the same reference or select a different one before making the audio in Melody Genie.
Where can I learn to format my finished lyric?
The Suno lyric formatting guide covers section labels, chorus repetition and a pre-generation checklist. It is a reference for a draft you already have, not another lyric generator.
