How to extend or fix an AI song
You do not have to regenerate a whole song to change it. On Signature (Suno V6) songs, open the song’s menu and choose Extend (4 credits) to write what comes next, or Rewrite one part (2 credits) to replace a verse, chorus or bridge with new lines; both create a new version and keep the original. For any song, open it in Genie Studio to cut, duplicate or move whole sections, shorten intros and add fades for free.

Steps
Decide what you need
Longer song → Extend. One weak part → Rewrite one part. Different structure (shorter intro, repeat the chorus, cut a verse) → arrange it in Genie Studio.
Extend a Signature song
In your song list, open the “…” menu on the song and choose Extend (4 credits, paid plans). Write the lyric for what comes next and generate. The extension is a new version linked to the original.
Rewrite one part
Choose Rewrite one part (2 credits, paid plans), select the section, edit its lines and confirm the audio window (at least 10 seconds, at most half the song). The original song stays unchanged.
Rearrange any song for free
Open the song in Genie Studio and detect its sections. Duplicate the chorus, delete a verse, move the bridge, trim the intro and fade the ending. Every change is undoable.
Listen to the joins
Generated audio is not a guaranteed seamless splice. Listen to the entry and exit of every edit before you keep it.

Common mistakes
- Regenerating the whole song for one line. Rewrite one part keeps everything you already like.
- A replacement window that is too short. Use at least 10 seconds so the new part has room to breathe.
- Not listening to the transitions. Compare the join before you keep the new version.
