Delete your Melody Genie account

This page lets you request deletion of your Melody Genie: AI Songwriter account and the data attached to it. You do not need to be logged in, and you do not need the app installed. Melody Genie is operated by Georion LLC, United States.

Request deletion by email

Works whether or not you still have the app. Send us the email address you signed up with and we will verify it before deleting anything.

Request account deletion

If the button does not work, write to [email protected] with the subject “Account deletion request”.

1. We reply within 5 business days to confirm the request is really from you.
2. Once confirmed, we delete the account and its data within 30 days.
3. We email you when it is done. The deletion cannot be undone.

Or delete it yourself in the app

If you still have Melody Genie installed and can sign in, this takes effect straight away — there is no waiting period and no request to approve:

Open the app → Profile → Delete account → confirm

Your account, your writing and your uploaded images are removed at that moment, and any subscription billed through our website is cancelled automatically as part of the same step.

If you subscribed through Google Play, cancel it yourself

This is the one thing deletion cannot do for you. A subscription bought inside the Android app belongs to your Google account, not to your Melody Genie account, so deleting the account does not stop it and you would keep being charged.

Cancel at Play Store → Subscriptions before deleting your account.
Subscriptions bought on melodygenie.app are cancelled for you automatically. You do not need to do anything.

What gets deleted

Everything below is removed permanently from our systems.

Account and login

Your Supabase auth user is deleted outright: email address, credentials and sessions.

Profile

Display name, avatar, banner, bio and preferences.

Your writing

Saved lyrics, drafts and generation history, removed by database cascade when the account goes.

Custom Lyricists

Any private writing profile you built, and its images.

Community activity

Forum posts, comments, song submissions, votes and follows.

Uploaded images

Profile pictures, banners, Custom Lyricist art and card backgrounds are deleted from storage.

Web subscription

Any active Stripe subscription is cancelled automatically before the account is removed.

Audio you sent to Beat Matcher or Hum to Flow is not listed above because we never store it: recordings are passed straight to the transcription service and discarded, so there is no file to delete.

What we keep, and why

Two things survive deletion, both because we cannot lawfully or technically remove them. Neither can be used to identify you or to reconstruct your writing.

Payment and invoice records

Held by Stripe and Google Play, not by us. We cannot delete them on your behalf.

Kept: As long as tax and accounting law requires

AI processing cost logs

Rows recording what a generation cost to run. On deletion the link to your account is set to null, so the entry survives without identifying you.

Kept: Indefinitely, with no account link

Deleting some data but keeping your account

You do not have to delete everything. Email [email protected] and name what you want removed — for example your saved lyrics, a specific Custom Lyricist, your uploaded images or your public profile — and we will delete just that and leave the account intact. Same timeline: confirmation within 5 business days, deletion within 30 days.
